What is an Upgrade Item in World of Warcraft?
Upgrade items are items that can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to boost their stats. It can be obtained by completing certain keystones of high-tier dungeons.
Trainers will require an upgrade to evolve Porygon into its final form, Porygon2. But, they won't be able to take one from spinning PokeStops and Gyms; these special evolutionary items have a low drop rate.
Components
In computer technology the term "hardware" or software" refers to a hardware upgrade replaces an older version with a fresher version that has additional features or functions. The purpose of upgrades is to make a system more efficient and more reliable, or capable of handling greater amounts of data. Hardware upgrades include hard disk drives and motherboards. Computer upgrades must always be compatible with the specifications of the computer that is being upgraded.
In Guild Wars 2, upgrade items can be slotted into armor, weapons or trinkets to provide an attribute bonus or another effect while the equipment is being used. To be accepted as a component, an item must have an open upgrade slot and be above or equal to the specified level.
Components are available to purchase from vendors in Night City, obtained by disassembling items that don't work or being found out in the world. Contrary to weapons and other gear that are available for purchase, components can be bought from vendors even if they're not level-appropriate or high-leveled.
Various types of components exist with universal upgrades (such as gemstones) able to be placed in any equipment and offering less bonuses than those that are categorized. Jewels however can only be placed in trinkets, and provide larger bonuses than any other upgrade item.
Inscriptions are unique upgrade items which can only be placed inside a trinket. They can be used to boost the experience multiplier. They can be extremely useful in determining the max and min of a character as they are relatively inexpensive to obtain, but they don't stack with other experience modifiers.
Infusions can be incorporated into armor that is non-ascended and legendaries and also to certain non-legendary items. You can recover them by using the tool to extract them or salvaging them with the Ascended Rescue Tool. It is important to note that upgrading an item by using infusions will result in the item being given a an unique name. For instance, adding a Rune of Minor Vigor to a Tyrian Armor will cause it to display the name "Radiant Tyrian Armor." Similarly, an inscribed weapon will show up in its hover display as an Inscribed Weapon.
Glyphs
Glyphs improve a substat of an item of equipment. They are available in many places, but the most common place to obtain them is by the completion of Nightmare Dungeons and Helltides. You can also find them by visiting the Faction Crypts. Glyphs found in the crypts only be available to specific classes, so make sure to only claim the ones that apply to your character. Once you have a lot of Glyphs you can head to the Glyph Altar located in the middle of Teleria to spend the Glyphs. This altar will boost your valued item that you have enchanted by a certain amount depending on the Glyph that you are using.
The majority of glyphs you can choose from will give you a boost to your primary stat, but some may have additional effects, such as increasing healing, damage or resistance. Glyphs are a great way to upgrade your equipment, but they can be difficult to acquire and use. The best way to make sure that you get the most benefit from your glyphs is to regularly upgrade them. Glyphs that are upgraded will be displayed as the upgraded version in your inventory.
Certain dropped items come with an initial glyph that will automatically upgrade when you upgrade the item. This only is applicable to the original enchantment and not the glyph you hand-crafted on the item. Glyphs which are automatically upgraded have a higher ranking than glyphs that you manually crafted.
Glyphs are a crucial part of the crafting system. You can use them to convert a prefix on gloves, belts, or boots into an experimental affix. Glyphs of Insight are difficult to find, however due to the RNG part of their making can cause them to be not available when you require them. To aid in this, we've created a Glyph of Insight Crafting Spreadsheet to guide players through their journey.
Some tips to get Glyphs faster include choosing shorter, simpler dungeons to complete such as Witchwater. This dungeon follows a linear layout, which makes it easy to traverse and defeat enemies. It is also a good idea to consume potions for health between dungeons to accelerate the process.
Rerolling

Rerolling involves replacing an upgrade item with another of the same kind. This procedure alters the item's extra stats, but does not alter the level or attachment slot. The price of the new item will be based on its rarity and level. This can be done for weapons, armors and rings.
Upgrade items are the accessories used to increase the power of units in Guild Wars 2. These items come in a large variety, and can improve several different aspects. Upgrades increase the health, spell power and physical power of armors, weapons and rings. They also add a range of other capabilities to the unit. The player can play with an item by placing it in the appropriate slot on the model's portrait.
Players can upgrade their items by recycling them. This will fill up a progress bar and boost the value of the item's upgrade. Up to six items can be recycled in one go, and the amount of points earned for recycling is dependent on the rarity of the item as well as its the level. The upgrade is unpredictable and cannot be guaranteed.
Rerolling or not is dependent on the player's preference. Some players reroll to ensure they have a stable set of characters to carry their game. Others may decide to not reroll because they prefer to play with their favorite character, no matter how powerful it is.
Rerolling is costly and requires a lot of effort therefore you must carefully take into account the pros and cons. Ask other players for suggestions when you're not sure of the method of rerolling to choose.
The best way to increase your chances of winning an excellent reroll is to play regularly and earn a good amount of tokens. You'll have enough tokens to replenish your upgrade items, if necessary. In addition, you can also improve your reroll chance by playing the game with the highest difficulty setting. If you're struggling to find an upgrade item that you can afford try playing the game with the highest or even the most difficult difficulty settings.
Sets
If an upgrade is placed on a set or an exclusive item, a bonus is given to the set. These bonuses can differ depending on the upgrade type. For example, a def boost is given when an upgrade item is put on an armor set for guardians or a the ring, and an AOE damage boost is offered when an upgrade item is placed on a weapon.
While the extra stats provided by an upgrade can aid a build, they aren't always the most beneficial. If there are already nearly perfect versions of an upgrade-free high dps item (whistan’s shield for FB Sorcs, for instance) upgrading it might not be as beneficial. Likewise an item that adds value via its unique affixes could be extremely useful in its original state (goldwrap is a great choice for DPS casters).
The player must visit NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine to upgrade a set piece of equipment or weapon. The player will require 1 of three Power Dices, dice 4 6 or 12, which can be dropped by monsters over 21 or Giants and the required amount of Erons and minerals. The player can roll a new item by pressing the green button with circles that circle when in the items list.
This will swap the current item for a brand new one with different stats and the base item will change. This is an option for those looking to maximize the value of their equipment. It can boost the maximum defense roll, the base item's affixes or even swap the base item for a different item from the same upgrade category.
